GHIBERTI

Tuscany terracotta and white Carrara marble

The pattern is inspired by the famous tile designed by Lorenzo Ghiberti, architect, sculptor, goldsmith and writer of the Italian Renaissance.
The tile (formella) was designed by Ghiberti for the door of the Florence Baptistery and originally depicted the Sacrifice of Isaac.
Today the Formella Ghiberti can be admired in the Museum of the Bargello in Florence.
